The Black Veil (2020)

As a Grip on The Black Veil, I played a crucial role in supporting the camera and lighting departments to bring the director’s vision to life. Working closely with the Director of Photography and Gaffer, I contributed to the technical setup and execution of complex shots and lighting configurations. My responsibilities included:

• Rigging and operating camera support equipment, such as dollies, cranes, and tracks, to achieve smooth and dynamic camera movements.

• Setting up and adjusting lighting modifiers, such as flags, silks, and bounce boards, to shape and control light effectively.

• Ensuring safety on set by securing rigging and maintaining stability for equipment in challenging environments.

• Problem-solving on the fly to adapt to the evolving needs of the production.

This role required a blend of technical precision, physical endurance, and collaboration to support the creative team and ensure the visual integrity of the film.
